a pink fire truck? what?

Well hello, my faithful blogging fans. I am sorry that I have not been so faithful to you lately. My phone hasn't been working correctly and I thought, " What good is a blog without any cool pictures?" Well the first cool thing I want to share with you is a picture of an awesome fire truck. I see this fire truck at least once a week and have wanted to share it with you but my phone wouldn't allow me to upload it until yesterday! So here it is..

It's pink! Super cool, I know. Well something really awesome happened this weekend. My boyfriend decided he wanted to do something REALLY sweet for me so Friday morning, it was around 9:30 a.m., my boyfriend woke me up with breakfast in bed! Basically what happened was Brad had contacted Alyssa ( my roommate) and asked her to let him in the house around 8:30 when he got to Denton. She let him in and he made pancakes, in all different sizes I might add, and sausage. And the best thing was that he brought me chocolate milk and packages of coffee for my awesome coffee maker. I was a really happy gal.

Well that's all for now. GO RANGERS!

cupcakes for halloween

I feel as if I have been getting so lazy on writing in my blog, so here's my life's recent updates! Well most recently I made Brad a piggy bank out of pop- sickle sticks! I wish I took a picture but it was pretty neat! Basically I used a hot glue gun and glued all the pop- sickle sticks to become a box.. with a little insert of the coins hole in the middle of it.. then I made another box/drawer , just a couple centimeters smaller to place inside the box so whenever he wanted to take money out of the box there was a drawer already made! Kinda complicated to explain unless I write the steps but don't worry, I won't.

I was pretty sad yesterday, I have been wanting to go to the Dallas Arboretum to see all the pretty pumpkin decorations before they go, but it rained yesterday :( After a couple of hours the Arboretum was closed and it stopped raining, Brad took me and our friend Matt to White Rock Lake.

It was very beautiful and the weather was lovely.

I also made a whole bunch of cupcakes for halloween and gave them to other people! They were so yummy! Well that's my update for now, off to do school work!

Kinsler, Kinsler, Kinsler

Well for pretty much my entire life, I didn't like baseball, shoot, I didn't even understand it. But until recently, thanks to my lovely boyfriend and his family, I watched it multiple times in one week on vacation together in August. That's when I began taking an interest. Then, these last few weeks when Brad would come over to my house, he would turn on the tv to the Texas Rangers game. At first it bothered me but then I noticed myself being sucked into the game! This is when I decided Ian Kinsler was my favorite Ranger and I NEEDED to have his shirt.. I called my sister Jackie up and asked her if she would give me my birthday present a couple of weeks in advance.. thank you Jackie... for this..

I am so happy! I am the owner of a Kinsler shirt! Actually, yesterday, Brad and I both became owner of Kinsler shirts..

We are both happy Rangers fans. Then as I was watching tv today, preparing for my weekend with Brad and his family, look what I saw..

The best way to watch "Everybody loves Raymond," is with a constant reminder that the Rangers are playing the Yankees tonight! I will definitely be wearing my shirt proudly! Well off to Dallas, then to Malakoff, for a fun weekend with Brad's family! Have a Happy weekend!

Brad and the Mad Hatter

Well today was an interesting day. First, Brad and I had planned on going to the state fair but then decided against it due to money issues. Then thought we'd go see a UNT football game but Brad had only a few hours asleep so we didn't end up doing that. We then thought to go watch a movie but before we knew it, it was nearly time for the movie to start and we hadn't eaten yet so as our last resort we took a drive to Hastings and rented a couple of movies. While there Brad decided it would be fun to play "The Beatles" Rock Band, so he played the drums and I had the wonderful privilege of singing "Livin' on a Prayer," in Hastings, where it's nice and quiet. Brad wanted to explore the whole store of Hastings so we went through the clothing area and check out what we saw..

NINJAS!

Kermit and Ninja

a Panda and a Monkey

Can you see the resemblance between Brad and the Mad Hatter? I think Brad is more attractive.

By the way, anyone notice Brad's awesome 'Mean Green' aka North Texas shirt? Pretty cool, I know. Well today is technically Sunday, hooray! I love Sundays! Well better get to sleep so I can wake up nice and early! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

I see dead people

About two weeks ago, my academic counselor advised me to contact a certain woman to speak to her about my career opportunities with my new major I'm hoping to switch to.  I've walked many flights of stairs in my lifetime, especially at UNT, but for some reason, the stairway in Matthews Hall makes me want to die after reaching the third floor, so for the first time I decided to take the elevator and this is what I saw..
On one side it had the normal elevator door and on the other it had this crazy looking bar. After watching countless shows of NCIS, criminal minds, CSI, Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and Cold Case- first thing that came to mind was: '' Oh my gosh, there's going to be a dead body hanging on the other side of that bar when the elevator stops." Thankfully, that wasn't the case but it was the longest 20 seconds of my life. On the way back down, I thought I'd just take the stairs instead of going through this aweful feeling with my heart beating 150 miles per hour.

Well I think I'll leave you with a fun quote from one of my all time favorite shows, "I love Lucy"--

LUCY : Now, what would you do if the first time I met you, I insulted you, spilled stuff all over you and acted like a first class nincompoop.
RICKY : Just what I did, wait for my suit to come back from the cleaners, then marry you.

Have a wonderful evening!

la la la la la la la life is wonderful

Happy day everyone! Today, at 7:30 a.m. it was an amazing 43 degrees here in Denton, Texas. Cold weather.. welcome back! I've missed you! I'm sure I'll regret saying that when we're in February and its about 30 degrees with no sun but for now.. hooray for cold weather! I don't have much to blog about except for saying that this week has probably been one of my happiest weeks in a long time. I mean lets think about this.. I serve an amazing God that loves me way beyond my stupidity. I have a pretty crankin family. (I just made crankin up.. i think in Joy's dictionary it'll mean superb). I have a lovely boyfriend that i love very much. The Village Church, which is the church I'm currently attending, has helped me learn so much about my God and who He is. I love the city I'm living in. This is the time where a song by Jason Mraz comes to mind. Listen to it here.  Well the last thing I will leave you with is the wonderful picture of a peach pie I made for Brad this past weekend..
One word = Scrumptious. Technically, I didn't make it, it came out of a box BUT I DID bake it. Like I was telling Brad, if you put a cake in the oven too long you burn it, if you don't put it in long enough, it doesn't taste as good. Therefore, the pie in the box didn't do all the work.

[ Me + the pie in the box = Scrumptious peach pie.]

Well hope you have an amazing October 6th! Enjoy the weather outside!
